How Deep Do Dreams Go?

Here is a talk I gave on March 15, 2014 to the All Reality group in Santa Monica.

The presentation of the topic was that dreams are manifested as the soul, thereby demonstrating the division between the ego and the core self through the images of the night.

2. What do dreams mean in Jungian psychology?

According to Jungian psychology, dreams bring to the surface of the unconscious all the problematic parts that the concaving of the ego has helped to come through. Thus, the sun is allowed, guided, and even urged to shine over inner darkness once again.

3. What do you mean by the ego-soul split that the speaker has mentioned?

The division of ego and soul is the metaphor for the separation between the conscious mind and the subconscious, which is very often reflected in dreams through imagery.

4. What is the nature of the relationship between lucid dreaming and astral projection?

They are described as means of awareness to the inner world and the dream consciousness, and the subconscious imagery in a direct way, thus the incredible experience of the nocturnal images is possible at will.

5. What is the significance of dreaming for self-knowledge?

Dreams are the most reliable source of information for the individual about their hidden feelings, inner struggles, and capacities, thereby helping the person to come back to the soul and hence to self-awareness.
